But Castor has her own gifts: the power of the storms, along with endless coin. Only one can win. The other walks away with nothing—if she walks away at all.

I am always searching for the next big mythology-based story and Game of Strength and Storm is quickly becoming a new favorite of mine. I thoroughly enjoyed the character development and story pacing and I truly could not get enough of Gen and Castor. Menard wrote a wonderful cast of characters and everyone was so well written. Their journey on the way to victory included so many cool elements and themes of greek mythology and it made me reminisce about the days when I used to reread Percy Jackson over and over again. Rachel Menard truly brought back wonderful memories for me and I would definitely pick this book up again at a later time.

Rachel Menard was born in New Jersey, raised in Arizona, and then relocated to Rhode Island. Throughout her life she has been a barista, college radio DJ, singer in an alt-country band, marketer, designer, and finally, a writer. Her short fiction has been featured on the Cast of Wonders podcast and her non-fiction has been seen in Writer’s Digest.
