July 2020 TBR List

So what books do I have lined up for the month of July?

Book Club

And I Darken was Anna Grace’s second choice for book club for the month of July. This book is about a princess taking back her birthright while being in a foreign court, who doesn’t love that?!

Book of the Month (add-on)

There are so many beautiful editions of this book and I was lucky enough to get it as a BOTM add-on and as a Fairyloot Special Edition. The cover alone makes me want to read this book, so I really hope it lives up to its hype.

Book Club

This book was chosen for my book club with my friends by my dear friend Anna Grace. I have already started it and I absolutely cannot put it down. Southern themes and vampires have been my thing since True Blood (the book and the show).

Thank you to NetGalley and Bloomsbury Publishing for sending me an E-ARC of this much anticipated book! I cannot wait to dive right in. The main character is a part of the LGBTQ+ community and a POC, we just don’t get enough books like this.

Thank you to NetGalley and Tor Books for the E-ARC of this book. This book is described as The Night Circus meets the Underground Railroad, how interesting! I love reading books with diverse characters and I am hoping to expand the types of authors that I read from.

Thank you to Knopf for an ARC of this beautiful book. Spin the Dawn is one of my favorite books of all time. The story was very original, while also being familiar with Mulan themes. I have been waiting to know the end of this story for so long!

Book of the Month

Mexican Gothic was my pick out of the 5 books offered by BOTM for July. Goodreads recommended this book to me as I have wanted to read more horror novels. I have a feeling this novel will not disappoint me.

Similar to Girl, Serpent, Thorn, this book has a lot of hype surrounding it and many people have raved about this book. I received a breathtaking Waterstones exclusive copy of this book and I cannot wait to crack it open.

Author Signing

I went to a book signing for The Zenia Wood and Carrie Looper Stephens was just the sweetest person ever. She started writing this book when she was 13 and continued to fully develop it into this beautiful novel I now own. I cannot wait to read this and share this book with other readers.

CaitsBooks on BookTok recommended this book to her followers and I immediately pre-ordered it. I don’t read a lot of Sci-Fi books, but I am hoping to get more into them. The cover of this book is also gorgeous!
